About
Editio (Latin: edition) is the online library of the Aquinas Institute for the Study of Sacred Doctrine, a non-profit Catholic academic publisher. It presents the Latin works of the Doctors of the Church side by side with their translations, line by line, and grows as further authors and languages are added. Each collection opens on its table of contents; the Latin and the translation are shown in parallel columns, and every passage has a stable address that can be cited and shared.
Reading requires no account and nothing is sold here. Accounts exist only for the editors and translators who contribute to the texts. Translations are prepared by the Institute's editors and volunteer translators from the Latin, reviewed, and published progressively; where a translation is incomplete, the Latin is still available. The collections previously lived at aquinas.cc, augustinus.cc and albertus.cc; those addresses continue to work.
Questions, corrections and offers to help with translation are welcome at admin@aquinasinstitute.org.
